What a great combination - woods, fresh air, a hammock to swing in, lake tahoe, cute crazy little girl with me.
Shelley: Isn't it wonderful to be here, Manny? With the trees and the sky, and Manny: and the hammock Shelley: and the sun Manny: and the flowers Shelley: and the birds Manny: and the butterflies..
..and the list goes on, this three year old caught on to my descriptive game pretty quickly.
Everytime I hear this song... (RIP Michael Jackson)
I hope it is not too late for me to pay my respects to him.
This is my favourite MJ song. Everytime I hear this song, it does something to me. Inspires me, makes a shift in my being .. The lyrics here are definitely worth reading again if you haven't visited them for a while.
Thank you Michael and may you be in peace.

I'm playing on percussions with Boris Goldmund on harp and two wonderful and accomplished African players - Yacouba, from Mali, and Temomo from Guinea. Yacouba plays the kora, and Temomo plays an african bass. Both their instruments are self made too!
Come to our gig this thursday and friday for some authentic, uplifting african music, combined with the healing qualities of harp. Great way to end your day!
Time: 5pm - 8pm Date: Thursday 2nd April & Friday 3rd April
Location: Jackie's cafe, 105 Valencia St, San Francisco (corner of McCoppin and Valencia)
I've always thought that not knowing what would happen next was exciting, thrilling and such a big adventure. Then I got scared, freaked out and almost ran away into the darkness one night , literally. After seeing the big sky with the openness of the night, stars blinking at me from every direction, I walked back to my room slowly and felt a little braver again.
I always thought the answers were waiting round the corner. Then I realized there was no point in wanting answers, cause they didn't really solve anything. There are no answers. No 'secrets'. Just possibilities. Like how every tree reaches up to the clouds in different directions.
I don't want answers anymore.
I just want to suck in all that life can give me right now and pour out all I'm capable of giving. I just want to be here - sitting, standing, smiling, crying, eating and laughing with you under the same sun. I just want to enjoy the warmth when it's hot and embrace the rain when it's cold. I just want to never look back in anger and never look forward in fear.
